It's Getting Close.....and Other Ramblings that Don't Mean Much

Labor is getting close. I am definitely feeling signs of it. I had an evening of contractions last night but they were too inconsistent. If I stood, they went away. I am pretty crampy today, but it comes and goes. I am 35w4d, so he could stay in there for another week or so, but if he is ready, he is ready! He has been consistently measuring full term for a couple of weeks now, so physically he is doing good and should be okay if he comes a few days earlier than full term. I would like to keep him in unti 37 weeks. However, I am sooooo crampy and sore and I limp everywhere I go. He is worth it though. I am just ready to be done and have him in my arms, as long as his health wouldn't be compromised.
One of my co-workers made me a gorgeous afghan for Eli. It is blues and greens and yellows all mixed in together. I love it. My co-workers are so good to me. It is going to break me in two when I have to leave here to work someplace closer to home. :(
Spring is getting closer! We had THUNDERSTORMS last night. My husband and I are weird. We LOVE getting storms. The air smells great and I love the wind that leads it in. I absolutely love everything about spring. It helps that I will have a son in the springtime too :) I will have a summer baby, fall baby and spring baby. I am so glad that I did not have a winter baby-talk about the winter blues!! I couldn't handle staying in with a newborn during that time. All dark and gloomy along with a crying baby would not mix well.
You know what I thought this morning? I was thinking.....from everyone saying the world is going to end in December, I wonder if God gave us this extra day in February on purpose this year since the year would end early???? I am just being silly. I don't think the world will end in December. I think something will happen, but whether it's catastrophic or not, who knows.
Happy Leap Day!!

  1. That's good that Eli is measuring big so I'm sure he'll be fine if you go soon! Can't wait to hear when he does arrive! So exciting!

I love the smell of rain and storms too! I'm enjoying having the windows and doors open today!
